The office accepts Medicare claim for the patient but we do not accept assignment on office
visits or office procedures.  What this means to the patient is that we will ask that the patient
pay for the visit at the time services are rendered.  We will file with Medicare and the check
will go to the patient.  If the patient has a secondary insurance it will either "cross over"
automatically or the patient will need to file after Medicare has processed the claim.  This
office will provide the patient with an encounter form for the date of service.  The patient
sends that form along with the Explanation of Benefits from Medicare to the secondary
insurance. They will then process for payment.

If the patient would like assistance in filing the secondary insurance they will need to bring
to our office the Explanation of Benefits they received from Medicare along with the name
and address of the secondary insurance company and we will be glad to assist in filing.
This office accepts Medicare assignment on all in-patient hospital visits and procedures.
